Cemex supplies ready-mix concrete for Tel Aviv’s W Tower
17 January 2025Israel: Cemex has supplied concrete for the construction of the residential W Tower in Tel Aviv, including 3800m³ of ready-mix concrete in the building’s foundations. Noticias Financieras News has reported that Cemex developed a special concrete mix for use in the 156m-high building, and replaced conventional pumps and cranes with a third-floor fixed pump during construction.
HRM Concrete launches in Baton Rouge
16 January 2025US: Four former owners of Cajun Ready Mix Concrete have launched HRM Concrete, a new ready-mix concrete company in Baton Rouge. The company aims to become a Gulf Coast regional operator. Business Report News has reported that HRM Concrete currently operates three batching plants and 30 mixer trucks.
At the time of its acquisition by Switzerland-based Holcim in 2022, Cajun Ready Mix controlled eight plants and 51 trucks.
Del Zotto Concrete Products acquires Gulf Coast Ready Mix

Cision News has reported that Gulf Coast Ready Mix produces ready-mix concrete and concrete blocks for the Citrus County market and surrounding areas.

Gold Rock Corporation to shut down Grand Bahama precast and ready-mix concrete plants
08 January 2025Bahamas: Del Zotto Group subsidiary Gold Rock Corporation plans to shut down two units – a precast concrete plant and a ready-mix concrete plant – in Grand Bahama. The Tribune newspaper has reported that the closure follows a refusal by the Grand Bahama Port Authority to renew a five-year contract for the supply of aggregates to the plants.

08 January 2025Türkiye: Market Insights Research has forecast a composite annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.1% for the Turkish ready-mix concrete market up to 2029. This would increase it from US$5.53bn in 2024 to US$7.08bn in 2029.
17 ready-mix concrete plants temporarily closed in Mira-Bhayander and Vasai in second half of 2024
08 January 2025India: Ready-mix concrete producers suspended operations at 17 different batching plants in Mira-Bhayander and neighbouring Vasai, Maharashtra, during the second half of 2024. The closures resulted from closure notices from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. The Times of India newspaper has reported that all plants subsequently complied with pollution restrictions and have since reopened.
US: Taiheiyo Cement USA has acquired California-based building materials producer Grimes Rock’s ready-mixed concrete and aggregates assets. Reuters has reported that the acquisition also includes some ‘affiliated’ assets.
ST Wooten acquires Capital Ready Mix Concrete
18 December 2024US: Construction firm ST Wooten has acquired Pennsylvania-based Capital Ready Mix Concrete. The Courier-Tribune newspaper has reported that the producer operates four ready-mix concrete batching plants in Pittsburgh.
Jurong Port commissions ready-mixed concrete ecosystem
04 December 2024Singapore: Jurong Port (JP) has officially launched its Ready-Mixed Concrete (RMC) Ecosystem, a complex of five ready-mix concrete plants. The RMC Ecosystem integrates 11 aggregates plots and a neighbouring cement terminal at the port. JP is now one step closer to realising its vision of developing Singapore’s first Integrated Construction Park (ICP), where construction companies can carry out off-site production in one central location. The ICP will feature the efficient discharge of construction inputs directly into a cluster of downstream construction-related activities, thereby improving productivity, reducing carbon emissions and optimising land use.
